Cheddar Hybrid Cauliflower F1

Cheddar Cauliflower has a beautiful bright orange-colored head from its high levels of beta-carotene and Vitamin A. This hybrid variety typically produces 11-15 oz plants that have smooth heads with medium weight and firmness in the curds. Cheddar Cauliflower is not very heat resistant in comparison to other cauliflower varieties but is still easy to grow. Tie the tall leaves over the heads to help keep the plant from sunburn when needed, but note that the orange color may be intensified if the plants aren't tied. Flavor is mildly sweet and creamy and is a great addition to salads, soups and can be enjoyed cooked or raw.
